The other day I was on a live-stream webinar with close to 100 other women entrepreneurs from all over the world learning about how to write persuasive marketing copy.
At the end of the call, our mentor asked us if we were all in on a 30-day challenge to write persuasive marketing copy with calls-to-action every day.
After she said this, the FB comments section lit up as people started writing “I’m in,” and “Let’s do this,” and “I’m so excited!”
But that wasn’t how I felt. I so wanted to be “all in” in that moment and to be excited like everyone else, but the truth was that I was feeling shitty about myself and didn’t feel up to participating.
You see, in that moment I was getting in my own way, stuck in a shame spiral, feeling less than and negative because I had been comparing myself to the other talented women in the “room” and had started feeling like an imposter.
Can you relate to this experience?
The feeling of having your energy plummet because you’ve started comparing yourself to the other people and you’re not measuring up?
Feeling like you’re the only one in the room who doesn’t have what it takes to pull it off?
If you do, know that you are not alone.
It happens to the best of us.
We start feeling vulnerable, get stuck in our head, and it feels like the weight of the entire universe is weighing us down.
But there is another path that leads to freedom and inspired action.
This is what I want you to know.
There is nothing wrong with you for getting down on yourself.
Nothing at all.
You are worthy. You are always good enough.
And the only thing you can do wrong when you’re in this place is to not recognize that you’re getting in your own way–that your head is playing tricks on you–and to allow yourself to stay stuck in comparisons and imposter syndrome rather than taking action towards your goals.
Because you were put on this earth to serve a purpose that is unique to you, and your mission is to stop getting in your own way so that you can shine in the only you that you can.
So start now. Recognize that you have choices and that you can choose to follow your own path and show up vibrantly.
As only you can.
You don’t have to do this alone. If you struggle with feeling like you never measure up and it keeps you up at night and stops you from taking action, let’s figure this out together. Book a call with me. You’re worth it!
